We are looking for an Area Sales Manager to join the Harmless Harvest Team and represent us in the Eastern Canadian Market! This position focuses on driving trial, brand recognition and increasing sales at store level by creating amazing relationships and evangelizing our brand. You will be responsible for driving new business in assigned regional accounts and store-by-store sales to increase distribution of our leading US velocity core coconut water skus & innovation, which recently launched in Canada. Success in this role will come from prioritizing your time visiting stores to focus on the highest impact areas, partnering with brokers and distributors in your market, attending calls, ride-a-longs, analyzing data and more. In addition to sales, you will represent the brand in field marketing efforts, by attending in-store demos and events across Canada, generating excitement and awareness around our brand. What you'll be doing:
- Deliver on monthly volume and distribution goals and achieve overall sales in your market.
- Establish Harmless Harvest as a key velocity brand in the Canadian Market
- Plan out and prioritize weekly strategies to optimize time in the field: hit required accounts daily to close voids, increase shelf presence, and take reorders from store managers.
- Ensure execution of new product launches, promotions, and secondary placements.
- Build and maintain relationships with buyers at store level.
- Identify new customers and opportunities (i.e. retailers, cafés, bodegas, shops) that would be a good fit for Harmless Harvest
- Gain additional placement within accounts, including secondary points of purchase and cooler placement.
- Ensure marketplace execution of Retail programs.
- Daily communication with manager via digital store visit platforms. Attend weekly calls with manager, monthly team calls and provide monthly recaps.
- Provide market level insights including customer and consumer feedback, competitive activity, and market successes as needed.
- Work closely with distributors, brokers, and retailers in the in your market.
- Identify and assist in the execution of events to create authentic connections with consumers. Oversee communication of event logistics to local markets such as pre-event preparations, set-up, execution, break-down and post event reports.
- Manage product sample orders and requests.
- Oversee merchandise including ordering and inventory management of wearables, swag, coolers, in-store collateral and high value assets.
- Approximately 80% of your time in the field visiting accounts.
- Approximately 20% of your time will be conducting field marketing efforts (events, tradehsows and in-store demos)
- Some travel will be required outside of the greater Toronto area

Requirements
- 1-3 years' experience in Sales or Marketing and a passion for CPG sales
- Passion for the Harmless Harvest brand and desire to make an impact.
- Accountable, self-starter who is highly motivated to achieve goals.
- Strong planning, organization, and project management skills, along with excellent interpersonal, written/oral communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to move fast and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Curiosity to understand our customers, with a strong motivation for how to better reach our consumers.
- Clean driver's license, reliable transportation and proof of insurance is required.
- Ability to lift 20 lbs., load, set up, execute and tear down promotional items.The employee is regularly required to stand, kneel, walk distances of ½ mile at a time
- Must live in Toronto or the surrounding areas
