About the Role:

As our new Sales Planning Associate, you will be joining our dynamic sales team in a fast-paced environment at our Oakland-based HQ. In this role, you will gather and analyze data through multiple sources to create reports to support sales reviews, customer business reviews, trends, pricing, and item distribution, while driving insights and action items. You will also assist with trade management and forecasting. You will report directly to our Sales Planning Manager, but work daily with other members of our incredible (and fun!) sales team as well as our cross functional partners in Supply Chain, Marketing, Innovation and Finance to support the growing needs of our function. The ideal candidate is a team-player, a whiz with numbers and has a good understanding market trends and how to apply insights.

What you'll be doing:
  • Business Support Key Point Person for Sales
    • Utilize syndicated data, account-specific data, consumer and shopper insights to identify opportunities
    • Update weekly & monthly tracking reports
    • Ad-Hoc business reporting necessary to answer time sensitive questions
    • Conduct projects involving sales, pricing, marketing, packaging, category management, trade marketing, forecasting, promotional activity, merchandising, & retail execution
    • Support all customer related shopper merchandising initiatives
  • Cross Functional Collaboration - Collaborating with internal and external resources will be imperative. Aligning sales (Broker, National Accounts and Distributor), finance, marketing, and supply chain around the same business objectives, together you will ensure sales executional excellence.
Serve as the main point of reference for any SKU discontinuances or new item launches.
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Understanding of promotional methodology, mechanics, and management.
  • Experience in trade or finance support
  • Experience in demand planning or forecasting support
  • 2-3 Years of Consumer Packaged Goods Industry experience
  • Strong understanding and experience using SPINS, Nielsen, IRI and other syndicated data
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work across the sales and cross functional teams
  • High degree of organization and project management skills and attention to detail
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Ability to communicate detailed information to multiple individuals/audiences with differing knowledge levels, both in writing and verbally

Salary Range: $70,000 - $84,000*

*The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, relevant certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Harmless Harvest which includes comprehensive perks and health benefits.
