ABOUT THE POSITION

The Business Systems & Applications Manager will play an integral role in supporting and developing applications to meet the growing business needs of the organization. This role will be responsible for collaborating with various departments to identify, develop and deliver solutions that drive significant efficiencies and improvements across the business utilizing various application platforms. The Business Systems & Applications Manager will provide manufacturing and finance subject matter expertise pertaining to IFS ERP software and select 3rd party solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, an interest in fresh food manufacturing, experience supporting and developing ERP/financial systems, a desire to develop and deliver tools & insight through business processes/systems, and passion for Urban Remedy's mission and long-term success.

ABOUT YOU

  • Excellent understanding of accounting business processes
  • Extensive in-depth knowledge of IFS enterprise applications
  • Understanding of the technical architecture of the business applications and platforms
  • Strong problem-solving, teamwork, analytical skills and continuous improvement mindset
  • Ability to effectively manage time and meet all specified deadlines

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well independently and in a team environment
  • Organized, detail-oriented and able to juggle multiple tasks and responsibilities gracefully under pressure
  • Seven (7) or more years of applicable experience supporting and developing ERP/Financial systems
  • Core strength in three or more ERP functional modules such as Accounting, Materials Management, Production Planning, and Sales and Distribution
  • Technically fluent in relational databases, including Oracle, MSSQL or similar large-scale relational databases and Visual Basic.Net]Five (5) years of application management experience in a medium to large environment with increasing levels of responsibility and complexity of projects and applications

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Systems Support

  • Systems Strategy
    • Develop and maintain a long-term systems strategy in partnership with key business stakeholders

  • ERP
    • Understand ERP and B2B systems thoroughly, become subject matter expert and primary owner of the IFS ERP system.

  • Business Systems Support and Development
    • Maintain a variety of tools that support business functions and partner with functional area experts to innovate them and address changing business situations.
    • Assist in migration of tables into a data warehouse
    • Ability to extract key transaction fields and relate them to key data items to execute data analysis at the levels of granularity needed - daily, fiscal, and calendar relationships using SQL queries
    • Execute IFS jobs and processes to create import data and create distribution orders, customer sales order and invoices
    • Create reports and queries to support business success

  • Training and Support
    • Conduct and/or coordinate new user set-up, training for new and existing team members as needed on ERP system
    • Cross functional support/communication with Planning, Production, Procurement, 3PL, Customer Service, Business Development, Data Analysis and Reporting


Account Management

  • Work with 3rd-party developer to support Woo Commerce (Revel) platform and Point-of-Sale integrations
  • Work with Back Office, Shelf Engine and other third-party suppliers as needed to resolve any data receipt issues.
  • Be the primary interface with the IFS account team.

General Responsibilities

  • Provide expertise to identify and translate business requirements into software design
  • Plan, lead, and prioritize work relating to software design and development for new and existing initiatives
  • Provide support and troubleshooting of core business applications
  • Collaborate with SMEs and technical teams to sequence work, develop implementation/development plans, and produce work effort estimates
  • Interface and coordinate tasks with internal and external technical resources
  • Respond to critical production issues and provide solutions to maintain business continuity
  • Drive problem investigation and resolution as required
  • Establish and maintain business system controls, policies and procedures
  • Foster a strong and positive work environment that encourages creativity, while maintaining high caliber productivity
  • Function as a stakeholder on projects, participate in management decisions, and issue resolution. Stay informed on ERP technology trends and uses in the manufacturing industry

  • Work closely with the operations team to improve supply chain systems and tools
  • Work with functional area experts to develop tools and systems that improve visibility of inventory stock position relative to sales forecast, production plan, and actual demand enabling effective use of resources
  • Participate as a key member of ERP team, minimizing use of external tools and recommending centralized/systemized solutions
  • Recommend data governance strategy and proactively resolve issues creating data integrity issues, assume additional responsibilities as assigned

Urban Remedy offers competitive salary and benefits including medical, dental, vision and life insurance.

Salary range is 130,000 - $150,000.
