Urban Remedy is a plant-based organic food company that embodies the belief that Food is Healing. We were founded by Neka Pasquale, a licensed Acupuncturist who saw first-hand the healing power of food with her patients. Utilizing the ancient principles of Chinese & Ayurvedic medicine combined with the latest innovations in functional medicine Urban Remedy was born. Grounded in the power of clean eating we are certified organic and non-GMO with the goal of creating the cleanest and most delicious offerings to empower people to be their best selves. Our recipes utilize ingredients that are naturally anti-inflammatory and low glycemic without preservatives, fillers, refined flours, sugars, gluten or dairy. ABOUT THE POSITION
The Crew Member works in our retail locations and acts as a brand ambassador for the Urban Remedy brand. The Crew Member sells our products and educates consumers on their benefits. The Crew Member has a field marketer mindset and finds innovative and creative ways to build brand awareness within their community.
The Crew Member has an understanding of and passion for the Urban Remedy mission and assists in cultivating a culture that is aligned with Urban Remedy's core values and belief that Food is Healing.
Urban Remedy's core values of Our Foundation, Accountability, Creativity, Change, Integrity and Empowerment guide our team in representing Urban Remedy to our associates, vendors, customers, and the media. All employees are expected to embrace these core values as part of their daily work-life with Urban Remedy.
This position is located in Urban Remedy's store within the Whole Foods Market on Gilman. The ability to float between our Gilman and Concord locations is preferred. We are looking for someone who can do 3 - 4 shifts per week that are 4-5 hours.

ABOUT YOU
- 1- 2 years of retail experience.
- Professional, energetic and positive.
- A high sense of integrity.
- Ability to achieve results working independently.
- Strong prioritizing and time management skills.
- A motivated self-starter with the ability to multi-task.
- Strong communication skills; proficient in spoken and written English.
- High school diploma.
- POS experience preferred.
- Food handling and safety certification (can be obtained after hire).
- A passion for healthy food and nutrition preferred.
Pay for this position is $18.07 per hour.
